While I sit here designing websites and stalking attractive women on Facebook, an old friend of mine has decided to drive from Moorends (UK) to Barcelona (Spain) in a beat up old banger that cost him £200, all in aid of Action for Children. Which….. sounds like a lot of fun if you ask me. I remeber when raising money for charity involved starving yourself or getting in a bath full of baked beans and other such nonsense. You can find out more about it on his ‘Barcelona or Bust’ blog. You could even help them raise some money, unless you hate children of course, in which case sod it.
In other news, those of you who remember the Junior Lucky Bastards project from my 55DSL days may remember a young french man called Jeremy Angelier. It turns out he’s still traveling the world and filming his exploits only now he’s doing it on his own dime and under the guise of ‘Surfin Steve’. Personally, I can’t think of anything more irritating to an Englishman’s sensibilities than a french man impersonating an australian. It’s like concentrated hate, but maybe that’s just me.*
Anyhoot, you can follow Surfin Steve’s adventures on his Vlog (video log, keep up people!) over at ozmygod.com. They’re worth a watch, not least because they’re mainly about Steve getting ignored by attractive women…. as always.
* I’m only joking Jez, you couldn’t possibly be any more annoying than you actually are.
